Actor who played Tilda Swinton's son from hell in We Have to Talk About Kevin says: 'I’m Queer'
In his latest film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Ezra Miller plays an out and proud gay teen.
The 19 year old is now publicly acknowledging that like his character in the film, he too is gay.
‘I’m queer,’ he tells Out magazine, on which he appears on the current cover. ‘I have a lot of really wonderful friends who are of very different sexes and genders. I am very much in love with no one in particular.’
He shares that he’s at a stage where he is trying to figure out relationships.
‘I don’t know if it’s responsible for kids of my age to be so aggressively pursuing monogamous binds, because I don’t think we’re ready for them,’ he says. ‘The romanticism within our culture dictates that that’s what you’re supposed to be looking for. Then [when] we find what we think is love – even if it is love – we do not yet have the tools.’
Miller made a big splash on the big screen last year as Tilda Swinton’s disturbed son in the dark drama We Need to Talk About Kevin.
