Adam Lambert excitedly took to Twitter late Thursday to unveil the cover art for his sophomore album Trespassing to his more than 1.3 million followers.
The black and white image of the singer with far less eye make-up than usual was accompanied by these three words: 'MY ALBUM COVER!!'
In a follow-up tweet, Lambert wrote that he is serving as executive producer of Trespassing as well as creative director and that Lee Cherry is the photographer and art director.
The album will be released in the U.S. on March 20 and a day earlier than that in the U.K.
Reaction to the album cover from fans has been largely positive.
'Thank you for all your kind words of encouragement!' Lambert tweeted Tuesday (24 January) Can't wait for you all to hear it!!'
Lambert has been using Twitter to drum up enthusiasm for the album releasing a snippet and cover art of the lead single Better Than I Know Myself last month. two days before its Dec. 2 release.
Last week, Lambert performed the single on The Tonight Show starring Jay Leno and on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Although he lost in the finale of American Idol's season 8 to Kris Allen, Lambert has become one of the show's most famous alums.
His first album, For Your Entertainment, earned him a Grammy nomination and sold 1.2 million units worldwide. Singles from that album, including Whataya Want From Me, sold a total of 4.2 million units worldwide.
