The boyfriend of gay news anchor Anderson Cooper has been spotted kissing another man.

Photographs clearly show Ben Maisani, who is rumored to be engaged to the newly out CNN reporter, smooching a hunky mystery man in a New York park, reported The Daily Mail.

The 39-year-old owner of a Manhatten gay bar has been dating Cooper for three years now and it was reported last month that the pair intended to tie the knot as soon as Labour Day in the US next month.

Cooper has yet to comment on the pictures and despite regularly tweeting, he has not mentioned the scandal on Twitter.

The 45-year-old journalist came out last month in an email to The Daily Beast columnist Andrew Sullivan saying he ‘couldn’t be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud’.

Cooper added that he has always avoided answering questions about his sexuality, but he says he recently began to reconsider whether ‘the unintended outcomes of maintaining my privacy outweigh personal and professional principle’.

He said: ‘I have always been very open and honest about this part of my life with my friends, my family, and my colleagues.’

‘In a perfect world, I don’t think it’s anyone else’s business, but I do think there is value in standing up and being counted.’
