You could read the weather on an LGBTI radio station – and it will only cost you a £50 ($65 €60) charity donation.
Gaydio morning presenter Chris Holliday is running the London Marathon this Sunday (23 April).
And he is offering special rewards to anyone who helps him raise money for Terrence Higgins Trust, the HIV and sexual health charity.
Holliday told GSN: ‘If you donate £20, we’ll turn your name into a Gaydio radio jingle.
‘Or you can channel your inner Siân Lloyd and you get to read the weather if you donate £50.
‘We’ve had a few people do it and love it. And we have a bit of a chat with them on air, so it’s a whole radio experience.’
The reaction from Gaydio listeners has been enthusiastic. But Holliday still hopes to raise more.
Chris Holliday and the London Marathon
Meanwhile, he is hoping for a particular weather forecast on marathon day.
‘I’m a real sunshine boy. But for once in my life, I don’t want sunshine. I’d love it to be overcast with highs of about 12 degrees, with maybe a little drizzle towards the end.
‘Actually I think it’s going to be 17C with sunny spells, which could be hell.’
