Charlie Sheen uses anti-gay slur; his apology doesn't help matters

Charlie Sheen utters anti-gay slur

At this point, no one should be shocked.

According to Gawker, actor Charlie Sheen was the master of ceremonies at the opening of his bar in the El Ganzo hotel in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He greeted the crowd, that included Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, with an anti-gay slur.

It gets worse. Sheen offered this quick apology to the entertainment site TMZ.

‘I meant no ill will and intended to hurt no one and I apologize if I offended anyone. I meant to say maggot but I have a lisp,’ Sheen wrote.

The actor’s public outbursts, and addictions, have become legendary. In 2011, he was dismissed from the TV program Two and Half Men for derogatory comments made about the show’s creator.
