Excitement as gay icon finally releases first official full-length version of new song
Gay icon Cher has given fans a special Thanksgiving treat by officially unveiling her comeback single Woman’s World online.
The Believe singer ended months of waiting by streaming the first official full-length version of the single on her website.
Writing on Twitter earlier today (22 November), the superstar said: ‘when I started singing it I thought about strong Famous Women…Then I Thought “fk Thatâ€â€THIS IS A WOMAN’S WORLD†We’re All Strong ! MEN 2 !’
And the pumping disco-infused floorfiller is already getting the seal of approval from her loyal fans.
‘such an empowering song for women! Im gonna share it with all the women i know!!!’ tweeted @Dave_G1.
While @n0ctowl posted: ‘omg. I listened to the song. I’m so sorry. I can’t stop crying’.
The veteran singer was angry and ‘upset’ after a short 17-second preview, and later a one minute version, was leaked online in October.
The song from her 26th studio album marks the singer’s return to pop music after a 12-year hiatus.
Cher’s last album Living Proof was in 2001.
Woman’s World will be released on Monday (26 November) with the album to follow in January.
