US country music legend Dolly Parton has revealed she loves her gay fans so much that she has made a song just for them.

Parton was speaking to reporters at a press conference last week, promoting her current world tour, which is coming to a close tonight (14 July).

The ‘Jolene’ singer said she has a special song for her gays fans.

‘At some point I would like to do a dance record and I have several songs that are very positive towards the gay community,’ said Parton.

‘I have a song called 'Just A Wee Bit Gay'. It's a great little dance tune, it's funny and it's got a lot of comic in it.

‘I do write a lot of songs along those lines with people that are different and are just themselves.’

Parton, who is considered a gay icon, has been a vocal supporter of the gay community and equal marriage.

In April, she told a British magazine she believes everyone should be with who they love.

‘I think everyone should be with who they love,’ she said.

‘I think gay couples should be allowed to marry. They should suffer just like us heterosexuals.’

Just last month, Parton headlined at the Glastonbury Music festival in Somerset, UK in the coveted ‘Sunday Legends’ slot.
