Move over Band Aid, here's a festive charity song for Britain's gay community.

Christmas In Soho by Dusty O and the Soho Cares Singers is available to buy from iTunes today (9 December), with proceeds going toward non-profit organisation Status to encourage people to get tested for HIV.

Co-writer Dusty has gathered together a chorus of talent from the London cabaret scene including David Hoyle, the Trannyshack Gurlz, Dead or Alive's Jay Jon, Mari Wilson and the Mickey Mouse-alike Marc Massive.

Written by BoiSounds Music, the song was recorded at Ray Davies' Konk Studios in Hornsey while the video was filmed in the Barbican's Victims Of Glamour.

As well as the singers giving up their time for free, this project was made possible through donations from The Yard, The Edge, Ku Bar and Circa as well as donations from Soho establishments plus a bring and buy sale at Madame Jojo's.

You can purchase the song at iTunes from today, proceeds from which will go towards the non-profit organisation Status set up to encourage people to get tested for HIV.
