Buck Angel has launched buckangeldating.com, 'a safe environment for those seeking out relationships or just fun with trans men and the people who love them'.

The female-to-male (FTM) adult film performer wrote in an article for the Huffington Post: 'Much of the correspondence I've received from FTMs expressed sadness and despair as these men felt it was unlikely that they could ever meet a partner'.

Angel, who has spoken at universities and talks shows in the US and UK about his life and work as a transman, has been nominated for several awards in the adult film industry for his films.

He launched buckangeldating.com because 'there was still no special dating site catering to the unique needs of transmen'.

Angel wrote: 'By having it all out in the open on this niche site, there is finally a place to go looking'.

'Gender has been undergoing a transformation that even I didn't see coming. This created some interesting challenges with the usual format of a dating website.'

'We're still working out the kinds, and as gender fluidity comes into it's own, there will likely be more options down the line'.

As part of his education and advocacy efforts, Buck Angel has participated in workshops, seminars and speaking engagements, and has produced a documentary named Sexing the Transman.

'The overriding theme of my work is about self-love and acceptance, and showing that transmen are indeed sexy and desirable'.

Buck Angel is married to Elayne Angel, a body piercer and body modification enthusiast.
