Catalan police have arrested four individuals associated with an online gay bashing ring.
According to El Economista, police in the city of Granollers, close to Barcelona, have arrested four individuals aged between 19 and 24 who are reportedly part of a neo-Nazi group inspired by Russia’s Occupy Pedophilia.
The group of young men, part of the Russian movement known for entrapping young gay men and then humiliating them on film, would reportedly lure gay men in Barcelona and Granollers to meet with them by posing as teenage boys on gay meeting websites.
El Economista reports the leader of the group, of Ukrainian origin, is among one of the captured individuals, but does not specify if the man is Occupy Pedophilia founder Maxim Martsinkevich, also known as Machete.
Gay Star News reported in November Machete was on the run in Thailand after police began investigating him for taped racist attacks in Ukraine.
Maxim claims the Iraqi student he’s humiliating on film thought he’d be meeting a teenage boy for sex, but the Ukrainian police only began investigating the matter after concerned members of the Ukrainian Iraqi community came forward believing the student had been fooled into thinking he was meeting a girl and robbed.
Catalan police Los Mossos d’Esquadra were unable to confirm with GSN whether Machete was indeed among the suspects captured.
