Frank Ocean not pressing charges against Chris Brown

Singer Frank Ocean declines to press charges against fellow entertainer Chris Brown

Frank Ocean is closing the chapter on his run-in with Chris Brown.

The out singer went to his Tumblr page to announce he would not be bringing charges against the fellow entertainer.

‘As a child, I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man,’ Ocean wrote. ‘But as a man I am not a killer. I’m an artist and a modern person. I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, what I want in my short life. Peace.’

Brown is accused of punching the Thinkin Bout You singer at the Westlake Studio in Los Angeles, in late January, after an argument allegedly about a parking space. Police were called and Ocean gave a statement; Brown left before authorities arrived.

Brown is on probation until August 2014, following his 2009 assault of pop star Rihanna.
