Julia Channel hopes her new single Forever in a Day will storm the charts and clubs in UK

French bisexual goes from porn to pop

French adult movie star Julia Channel hopes to go from porn to pop with her new single.

The Parisian bisexual made her name in her native France as the country's first black porn star, making 12 movies from 1992 to 1994.

Now living in London, Channel has ambitions to get pulses racing again, but this time with her music.

Forever in a Day is set to take UK clubs by storm, thanks to a remix by DJ Willy William and writer English RnB singer songwriter Varren Wade.

Julia quit the porn industry in dramatic fashion after a trip to Congo in 1994, where she documented the plight of Congolese Aids victims for French magazine Hot Video.

Armed with just a back pack and a photographer from the magazine she saw first-hand the full horror of men, women and children dying of Aids.

Channel, who counts David Guetta as one of her friends, said: 'The adult movie industry in the early 90s isn’t what it is today; actors played a game of Russian roulette with their lives.

'Considering I made over 140 movies and nothing happened to me is a miracle.

'I have no regrets in life but deter other girls from entering the porn industry at whatever cost because you will never be able to hide the fact you made these films ever, there is no hiding from it.'

Her debut album Colours is set for release in the summer.
