A gay Florida bathhouse is hoping to reap the benefits as the Republican National Convention comes to town next week.

As Joe. My. God. Blogger Joe Jervis reported, Ybor Resort and Spa will be offering GOP delegates free admission.

The spa, which describes itself as the ‘largest, all gay, private men’s club, resort, and bathhouse’ in Tampa Bay, is advertising the special RNC deal on its website.

Jervis says: ‘For those unaware, Ybor City is a homo-heavy entertainment district famed for its riotous nightclub scene, which is often described as Tampa’s version of Bourbon Street.’

The delegates only have a few more days to use the ‘exclusive offer’, as it expires on 31 August.

Taking place at the same time will be gay Republican group GOProud’s Homocon 2012 event, and special guests will include Amy Kremer, chair of the Tea Party Express, and Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform.

On the blog post, Jervis noted the GOProud’s event will take place very close to the Ybor bathhouse.

‘Google tells us that the above bathhouse is riiiight around the corner from GOProud’s Homocon 2012 on the same block. How convenient!’ he said.
