A video featuring gorgeous guys singing a political parody of What Makes You Beautiful has gone viral
A new video featuring five gorgeous guys, wearing swim shorts and speedos, singing their hearts out has gone viral. Wonder why?
Not only are the boys, known as Wrong Direction, spoofing our favorite new British boyband One Direction but they are smart too.
The band sing Disclosure, a political take on One Direction’s debut single What Makes You Beautiful which exposes right-wing candidate Mitt Romney’s record.
Created by company Full Frontal Freedom, the five take on Romney’s outsourcing, failing to provide tax returns beyond two years, and avoiding democratic pundit Rachel Maddow.
Fronted by model Colby Melvin, he tweeted on Tuesday (21 August) to Lady Gaga saying he was hoping to do as much for the upcoming US election as the pop star did when she campaigned for the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.
The video has been met with near instant viral success as it has reached over 300,000 hits on YouTube in just three days.
The five sing: ‘Romney you lie to voters like nobody else, your SuperPAC giant size gets Dems overwhelmed,
‘But when you smile at your wealth it ain’t hard to tell,
‘You won’t show…what you’re hiding down below.’
Full Frontal Freedom describes themselves as a coalition of independent artists and media folks using creativity to promote civil engagement.
