George Clooney’s sister has slammed gay rumors about her Hollywood brother as ‘ridiculous’.

The hunky actor has been consistently dogged by gay rumors, despite being connected to a string of beautiful women including British model Lisa Snowdon and actresses Kelly Preston and Renee Zelwegger.

His big sister Adelia Zeidler has now reacted to the ongoing gossip, defending his brother’s sexuality.

‘That’s quite ridiculous, we don’t even listen when people say things like that anymore,’ she said, reported The Sun.

Zeidler added that she is still in touch with the Descendents star, despite living thousands of miles away in Australia.

‘I just generally keep him up with what’s going on in my life,’ she said.

‘And he’ll tell me things that are going on here and there. But mostly we just gab like brothers and sisters do.’

Clooney divorced his actress wife of four years, Talia Balsam, in 1993 and is currently dating former wrestler Stacy Keibler.

When asked about the subject in an interview with The Advocate, Clooney stated: ‘The last thing you’ll ever see me do is jump up and down, saying, "These are lies".

‘That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community. I’m not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing.’
