GSN announced as official sponsor for The National Diversity Awards

Gay Star News is thrilled to announce we’re the official media sponsors for The National Diversity Awards 2013

GSN announced as official sponsor for The National Diversity Awards
26 February 2013

The black tie event, also sponsored by Microsoft, rewards all aspects of diversity within one ceremony, including age, disability, gender, race and LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender). It’s designed to promote ‘unity in society’.

GSN director and editor Tris Reid-Smith says: ‘It was so exciting picking up our award last year, just a few months after we officially launched GSN.

‘So we are delighted we will be returning this year and helping to celebrate the amazing achievements of Britain’s diverse communities.’

Founder of The National Diversity Awards Paul Sesay comments:  ‘We are excited to have Gay Star News on board as a media sponsor for this year’s awards. The National Diversity Awards have seen GSN grow from humble beginnings to the main media outlet for the LGBT community, across the UK and beyond.

‘The drive and determination of the GSN team lead them to receive the Entrepreneurial of Excellence award for LGBT at last year’s ceremony, and we are delighted this sparked the beginning to our working relationship’

TV personality Brian Dowling will take to the stage once again to present the evening, along with British actress Cerrie Burnell.

The awards take place 20 September at The Queens Hotel in Leeds, UK. Nominations are now open. Find out more about the categories and how you can nominate here.
