Hong Kong out-and-proud pop stars Anthony Wong and Denise Ho have joined forces with supportive Legislative Council members Cyd Ho and Raymond Chan to form the Big Love Alliance to fight for LGBT rights.

The LGBT community in Hong Kong are rising-up against a recent anti-gay rights demonstration and the Legislative Council’s rejection of a public consolation into discrimination against sexual orientation minorities.

Big Love Alliance started a campaign called ‘No Legislation is Discrimination’ and received an overwhelming response with celebrities, including actress Zhou Xun and Vivienne Westwood, taking photographs of themselves with the slogan.

The group only joined Facebook last Friday (11 January) but already have over 11,000 ‘likes’.
