Comedian Justin Lee Collins called his ex-girlfriend a ‘sex addicted lesbian’, a court heard during a trial into harrassment allegations.

The 38-year-old TV presenter, who is currently starring in stage musical Rock of Ages in London’s West End, has denied harrassing his former partner Anna Larke, causing her fear of violence, during their seven-month relationship.

St Albans Crown Court heard a recording made by 38-year-old Clarke in which Collins, of Kew in London, can be heard launching into an angry tirade after his girlfriend allegedly forgot to rub steroid cream on his back to treat his psoriasis.

He is heard screaming that Clarke is a ‘fucking cockhead, fucking sex addict, fucking lesbian’, reported the Daily Record.

The actor, who shot to fame presenting TV show The Friday Night Project with gay comedian Alan Carr, can then be heard accusing her of lying about her sexual history.

He said: ‘You were promiscuous, Anna. Lots of different partners, lots of one-night stands.’

In police interview evidence Collins denied asking Larke to list all her previous relationships but justified it in court by claiming that he thought it would be ‘cathartic’ for her to ‘unburden’.

The defendent has also denied hitting Larke, who he began an affair with during his marriage to Karen, reported the BBC.

During the trial, his former wife described Clarke as a ‘gentle, not aggressive, kind and generous’ man who was never violent towards her.

The trial continues today (5 October).
