Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian famously split last October after just 72 days of marriage. But their brief union is still playing out on television on the E! reality show Kourtney and Kim Take New York.

On Sunday's episode of the show, the New Jersey Nets star is seen interacting with his wife's publicist Jonathan Cheban, a single guy who Humphries suspects is gay.

He says to Kardashian: 'He’s either gay or a serial killer,'  'He's definitely gay. It's impossible that he isn't.' and 'I’m gonna say this: He’s not not gay. Do the math.'

When Humphries asks Cheban directly he says: 'Shoot me straight, I'm not going to judge you either way. Are you gay?'

Cheban appears offended as Humphries clumsily explains that he never brings any girls around and that perhaps he has not come out because he's afraid Humphries might not like him.

'This is not coming from a malicious place,' Humphries says.

In a later scene where Cheban has a date with a woman, Humphries says to the cameras that 'it's just a little bit fishy' because he had never before seen him on a date. Later, when he meets the woman, he goes so far as to ask: 'Did you think he was gay when you met him?'

Kardashian at one point says: 'I am so embarrassed right now. Kris just does whatever he thinks and he just has to be sensitive.'

Humphries will not only be out of a marriage soon, he wlll also be off of the basketball for an indefinite time after injuring his shoulder on Sunday during the Nets loss to the Indiana Pacers.
