Lady Gaga accused of turning kids gay

Florida Family Association is demanding Office Depot rescind their $1million donation to Gaga's Born This Way Foundation
Pop star Lady Gaga is being accused of turning kids gay by the Florida Family Association

Pop icon Lady Gaga is being accused of turning kids gay after announcing a new partnership with a leading US stationer Office Depot.

Right Wing Watch reports the Florida Family Association, otherwise known as executive director David Caton and his computer, is furious Office Depot donated $1million to Gaga’s Born This Way foundation.

Caton is demanding the group rescind the donation because the pop star sends the ‘irresponsible message to many teens who would have eventually chosen to be straight.’

In a statement, he says: ‘The one million dollar pledge from Office Depot to the Lady Gaga Born this Way Foundation will influence many teens to embrace homosexuality for their lifetime who may have otherwise worked through their crisis with straight results.’

He refers to outdated and disputed research by the American Psychiatric Association which said there is no evidence people are born gay.

Caton adds: ‘What’s brave or kind about telling thousands of sexually frustrated teens that they were born this way when a high percentage of them would have ended up taking the straight heterosexual path for life?’

The ‘Bad Romance’ singer has not responded to the accusation, but a spokesman from Office Depot has praised Gaga’s work, calling it ‘an inspirational organization that has the power to make a difference in the lives of today’s youth.’

The Office Depot/Born This Way foundation collaboration will produce a number of back-to-school products, including ‘bravery bracelets’ with messages saying ‘Be Yourself’, among other items.
