09 August 2012

Lady Gaga tweeted today a preview of her new Vogue cover.

Hailed as the most important issue of the year, so important a documentary about it was made in 2010, the September 2012 issue of Vogue features Mother Monster wearing a magenta Marc Jacobs gown and hair looking like legendary drag queen Ru Paul.

The bisexual pop star, who recently announced the name of her upcoming album project ARTPOP in addition to a future collaboration with American actress Lindsay Lohan, wrote on Twitter: ‘Who else sees me channeling @RuPaul in the COVER of VOGUE. If only I was as fierce as you b—-h.’

Lady Gaga risks invoking the rage of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour with leaking images of the unreleased issue, which include a nude Gaga wearing nothing but an enormous feathered hat.

That also didn’t stop her from sharing crediting Vogue creative director Grace Coddington with styling the shoot photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot.

Get your September issue of Vogue, hitting the stands 21 August, and look out for Gaga’s upcoming album to be released spring 2013.
