Lesbian X Factor finalist Lucy Spraggan has threatened to quit, sources claim.

The singer-songwriter missed Saturday’s live show saying she was too ill to perform, giving her a free pass to next week’s round.

The 21-year-old has won praise from judges and viewers for singing her own material.

However, insiders have told the Daily Star that Spraggan is sick of being made to perform cover songs on the show and is feeling ‘negative’ after suffering from ‘severe flu’.

A spokesman for the show said that Spraggan is ‘very happy’ and will be returning on Saturday.

Spraggan was last seen in public for fellow gay contestant Rylan Clark’s Halloween celebrations on Wednesday (24 October).
