Whenever he is called to duty for a Magic Mike sequel, Matt Bomer is ready to get back into stripper mode.

The White Collar star was told Tuesday night (11 February) by Vulture that Channing Tatum is busy writing a script for the second movie and is doing so beside a bust of Matthew McConaughey.

‘I trust Channing and [co-writer] Reid [Carolin] implicitly, and I’m along for the ride however they’ll have me,’ Bomer said.

Bomer, who will appear in HBO’s The Normal Heart this spring, played a male stripper alongside of Tatum, McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer and Joe Manganiello in the 2012 box office hit.

The film was one of many that propelled Oscar front-runner McConaughey into a more respected phase of his career with his performance as strip club owner Dallas earning raves.

Said Bomer: ‘There’s only one character who gets a bust in that movie, and that is Dallas! So they got it in the right place, they’re starting in the right place with this movie.’

So what will the storyline be for the second film?

‘I think everything’s pretty under wraps right now,’ says Bomer, ‘so I’ll just wait to hear from them.’

Bomer has said he worked out extensively for the first film and also allowed more manscaping to be done on his body than usual.
