Matt Dallas, best known for his years as the star of the ABC Family series Kyle XY, has announced his engagement to a man on Twitter.

The actor told his more than 40,000 Twitter followers: ‘Starting off the year with a new fiancé, @bluehamilton. A great way to kick off 2013!’

The fiance is Los Angeles-based musician Brandon Blue Hamilton (professionally known as Blue) whose Twitter handle is actually @BlueJamesMusic.

Blue, 25, was named Atlanta’s Hottest New Producer and one to watch for in X-Poszed Magazine.

After a three-year run on Kyle Xy, Dallas starred in the short-lived ABC series Eastwick. His most recent film was the 2012 western Wyatt Earp’s Revenge.
