The Skeleton Twins has debuted its first trailer, which stars Bridesmaids’ Kristin Wiig.

The film will reunite Saturday Night Live’s Wiig as Maggie and Bill Hader as her gay twin brother Milo.

The latter, a struggling actor, returns to his hometown for a reunion with his estranged twin 10 years after the pair both coincidentally cheated death on the same day.

As the twins’ reunion reinvigorates them both, they realize the key to fixing their lives just may lie in fixing their relationship with each other.

Modern Family’s Ty Burrell plays Milo’s ex boyfriend, with Luke Wilson and Mark Duplass also featuring in The Skeleton Twins.

The film premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, where it was critically acclaimed.

The Skeleton Twins opens in the US on 19 September.
