A pair of South African designers have come up with a genius way to transform anything and everything into a LEGO surface.
Anine Kirsten and Max Basler are industrial designers in Cape Town.
For a majority of their careers, they have worked with toy blocks to build and create new projects.
So it’s no surprise their latets project would have to do with them – and it’s already taking the internet by storm.
The pair have come up with Nimuno Loops, an adhesive tape allowing you to turn your home into a kingdom made of LEGO.
The tape it cutable and sticks to any surface, from the floor to your fridge, from tiles to carpets.
It’s also flexible, so a strip of tape doesn’t just go a long way, but can also easily go around corners or bend into any shape you’d like.
And it’s compatible with most major toy block systems – so if LEGO isn’t your style, there are always other options.
You can also build on other toys, as the designers like to point out, and incorporate them into your LEGO world.
There is only one rule, really: to be as creative as you possibly can.
‘The possibilities are endless,’ the designers said on their Indiegogo page.
‘And we’d like you to have the opportunity to create paradigm-shifting builds on more-or-less any smooth surface, anytime.’
So whether you’re building a crazy world in your living room or want to decorate your shoes with LEGO bricks, it’s all possible.
Currently, Nimuno Loops is still an Indiegogo campaign.
If crowdfunding puts you off, rest assured, because this project will definitely happen.
The designers set their original campaign goal of $8,000 – but that’s been smashed several times over since the campaign launched last week.
At the time this goes live, the campaign had raised $1,092,052.
As far as bricks go, Nimuno Loops come in a little pricier than normal.
You can get two one meter rolls for $11 as one of the perks – or, if you have a lot of use, get 100 rolls for $500.
Nimuno Loops come in a variety of colors, including red, blue, grey and green.
They are set to ship from July 2017.
