On my most recent trip to Los Angeles I was looking for a chic hotel with that elusive sense of Hollywood glamor. During my search I came across The Chamberlain West Hollywood Hotel. Immediately I knew I’d found what I was looking for.
The hotel is nestled on the quiet street of Westmount Drive, directly above the famous Santa Monica Boulevard. A short four-minute walk and you’re right in the middle of WeHo.
All the cafés and bars are right at your doorstep. Also, The Chamberlain is very near popular shopping centers like The Beverly Center and The Grove. Furthermore, a short drive and you can find yourself in the glitzy area of Beverly Hills.
The black and white checkered marble floor, the crimson leather furniture and impeccable service were immediate hints of the sheer luxury of this hotel. After being in the hotel for two minutes I knew I had made the correct choice.
First, my room was extraordinarily large and styled with contemporary decor. The entire black and white checkered motif was found throughout the room in the carpet and key furniture pieces. The large living room space led to my own private balcony that overlooked into the lively West Hollywood neighborhood. The same lush marble floor from the reception area was present in my own bathroom. My bathroom was a lavish size, and the shower spacious, so I never felt cramped.
Second, the facilities of the hotel are good throughout. The hotel had complimentary wifi, private balconies for each suite, luxurious bath and body care products, and a 24-hour fitness center. Although the fitness center was smaller than I would have hoped, it did feature range of equipment, and cardio machines, for me to get my pump on.
Third, the hotel staff were always attentive. Every time I returned to my room it was fixed to perfection. Room service was quick and delicious. I ordered the breakfast croissant twice and it was completely warm and fresh each time.
I would also recommend eating in their French restaurant, Bistro. The service is warm, friendly, and fast. They made sure I had everything I needed without making me feel rushed. During dinner they offer a nice selection of local and European wines. They also have an outdoor patio section which is perfect for a leisurely afternoon lunch or a romantic dinner for two.
Finally, the rooftop pool is super chic. Depending on your mood you can relax on your choice of plush deck chairs, full size beds, or private cabanas. From the roof you have a magnificent view of West Hollywood and plenty of sunshine. During my stay the pool area was quiet and relaxing even though I’m sure they do pool party events during the summer high season. It’s a perfect place to sunbathe away from the world.
Overall, I loved my stay at The Chamberlain Hotel. It’s a hotel with excellent service, lush amenities, and of course that charge of Hollywood glamor that will leave you feeling like a star.
