27 August 2012

Rosie O’Donnell is a married woman.

The actress and talk show host revealed Monday (27 August) that she and Michelle Rounds were secretly wed back in June before Rounds underwent surgery for desmoid tumors which is a rare disease that only affects three out of every million people.

‘We married in private before [Michelle’s] surgery, just the [two] of us,’ O’Donnell writes on her blog. ‘When we r both well enough will have the wedding of r dreams surrounded by those we cherish.’

The couple had originally planned to marry this month but moved up the date to June 14 because of the surgery. O’Donnell then had a health crisis of her own revealing last week that she had suffered a heart attack.

In her blog post, O’Donnell writes that ‘this crazy summer has taken me into uncharted territory.’

She has been waking up at 7 a.m. and taking long walks, eating vegetables and painting a lot.

‘Grateful for each moment,’ she writes. ‘Colors seems brighter, each breath a triumph. Extreme gratitude.’

‘Thankful for the love and support so many have given us during these trying times,’ O’Donnell adds. ‘Including all of u stranger-friends connected thru invisible strands of wi fi.’
