An anti-gay propaganda video from Russia has surfaced on YouTube, which claims same-sex parents adopt children so they can rape them.
The video, produced by a movement known as Healthy Young Generation – Healthy Russia, features footage from gay pride marches, home footage of same sex parents, and clips from adult films.
‘One in three children being raised by same-sex couples were needed by their adopted patents for sex.
‘So this is why, gays especially, are happy for children to be adopted by gays. They need children to satisfy their sexual desire’.
The video goes on to say ‘In the US, like in the rest of the world, 3% of the population is gay but they commit 30% of the crimes against children’
It also claims that scientists believe ‘sexual orientation can be treated more easily than alcoholism’.
The video goes on to list recent examples of gay propaganda within the media, which includes the gay pride flag featuring on the front of a magazine, and an article on gay positivity in Moscow.
The footage ends with ‘Think before it’s too late – homosexuality is not normal, it is abnormal’.
The video claims it is based on a controversial study by religious researcher Mark Regnerus, which claimed children were worse off with gay parents.
The study, released in 2012, was roundly criticised by academics after it emerged he only interviewed two children with gay parents. Regnerus, known for his conservative beliefs, has since admitted his report was ‘bogus’.
The video follows a rise in anti-gay sentiment in Russia following the passing of an anti-gay law in June, which banned the promotion of same sex relationships to children.
Last week, footage emerged on social media application WhatsApp showing a gay man being subject to a brutal attack by an anti-gay ‘vigilante’ group.
