The Hospital Club, one of London’s coolest members clubs, is embarking on a global expansion and has its sights set on Hollywood.
The new venue is set to open in early 2018 and has been dubbed h.Club LA.
Founded in 2004 by philanthropist and entrepreneur Paul G. Allen in London, England, the Hospital Club is a unique private meeting point for members of the creative industries.
The club is situated in the heart of Covent Garden in a seven-story building with an award winning TV and music studio, a gallery, restaurant and bars, a screening room, bedrooms, and the renowned Oak Room (a live performance space).
The expansion to Los Angeles, its first US destination, will see members gaining access to an international network of creatives. h.Club LA is destined to be the new ‘it’ spot with dedicated space for artists, entrepreneurs and innovators to connect, create and collaborate. It will be located at Hollywood’s iconic corner of Hollywood and Vine.
Founder Paul Allen said, ‘LA’s position as a hub of art, culture and creativity makes it the ideal location for the h.Club’s first global extension.
‘The Hospital Club is a place where innovators from across the creative disciplines come together to collaborate, push boundaries and cultivate big ideas. h.Club LA will continue this legacy, bringing together a unique location and a truly special experience to the LA community.’
h.Club LA will offer its members a similar experience to the popular club in London along with some new features. The club will encompass five floors of spaces designed to host and showcase creativity.
Three different areas of dining will feature locally sourced ingredients. The rooftop will hold an elegant restaurant that will allow guests incredible views across Hollywood and lead to a beautiful desert garden inspired by the English gardens of the late, queer film maker Derek Jarman. Not enough?
Additional amenities include an outdoor pool deck, relaxing tea room, stylish bars, gym and wellness facilities, creative co-working spaces, music studio, screening room and live performance space for members and guests to enjoy.
h.Club LA will also feature 36 bedrooms for members who would like to stay overnight.
Kerry Morrison, Executive Director of the Hollywood Entertainment District said ‘The opening of h.Club in Los Angeles – in the heart of Hollywood – positions it to become part of the soul of a vibrant, artistic and entrepreneurial city. It is a nexus of the media, technology and music industries and here, h.Club members will find a place where their creative expression is celebrated.’
h.Club LA is due to open early summer 2018.
