Tom Daley beats Prince Harry, David Beckham in gay mens’ ‘sexiest male’

British Olympic diver, 19, tops poll to find the sexiest man in the world, according to gay men

Olympic diver and bronze-medalist Tom Daley clearly made an impression after London 2012, as he has beaten out competitors like David Beckham and Prince Harry in a gay men’s ‘sexiest male’ award.

The baby-faced 19-year-old diver triumphed over the footballing star –  recently seen poolside modelling undies for H&M – into second place.

Prince Harry’s naked exploits in Los Vegas last summer have clearly done his image no harm in gay eyes – the rebellious royal came fourth.

Daley’s triumph was announced last night at a Attitude 100, a celebrity-studded summer party bash.

According to editor Matthew Todd, Daley’s Ken doll image saw him win ‘by a country mile.’

He also said Prince Harry’s anti-homophobia stance helped his popularity: ‘He did extraordinarily well, no doubt due in part to recent revelations he stepped in to stop an attack on gay former soldier James Wharton’.

Actor Henry Cavill’s bulk up to play Superman in Man of Steel helped to secure him third place. And it seems every gay man’s favorite One Direction member is Zayn Malik – he came fifth.

The full Attitude 100 – Sexiest Men in the World list will be published in a 52-page magazine supplement available on App and in shops from 24 July.
