What does pride mean to you?

Make a five-word contribution to a Pride celebration in Beijing

What does pride mean to you?
19 June 2012

Beijing’s Rainbow Worm, an LGBT writing group, are asking you for your contribution to their special session for Pride month.

They are asking people of all sexual identities within China and all around the world to answer the question: ‘what does pride mean to you to?’.

Send your five-word answer to Beijing LGBT Center before this Friday, 22 June.

The answers will be used in a ‘visually extravagant display’ say the organizers, at the event next Tuesday 26 June at the Bookworm in Beijing.

At the Pride celebration next week Rainbow Worm will also showcase a film workshop by LGBT Beijingers called The Digital Storytelling Project. Over 80 short films have been made so far by the project and at the event these will be shown in three categories: LGBT movement, relationships and self-acceptance.
