Pop star James Arthur has texted Lucy Spraggan to say ‘real people don’t care’ about his homophobic rap rant.

In the original rant last week he sparred with another rapper, Mickey Worthless, and called him a ‘fucking queer’ who ‘probably wants to stick [his] dick’ in him.

Turkish military is set to adopt a ‘Don’t as Don’t tell’ policy

The Turkish Armed Forces is set to introduce a new regulation that essentially states to gay soldiers: ‘If you come out – you’ll be expelled, if you stay in the closet – we’ll do nothing’.

The old articles of ‘unnatural intercourse’ and ‘psychosexual disorders’ as reasons to dismiss a soldier from the army, are to be replaced with a new criteria: ‘sexual identity and behavioral patterns should be dominant and apparent in every part of life’.

GLAAD says announcement is a 'historic change' but trans advocates are concerned about the definitions that remain in the manual of mental disorders

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) announced on Saturday that its manual would no longer list 'Gender Identity Disorder'.

But the new, fifth edition of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM V) will include 'Gender Dysphoria', which it describes as 'a marked incongruence between one's experienced/ expressed gender and assigned gender'.

American Psychiatric Association removes transgender from mental illness category after years of LGTB lobbying

Transgender people are no longer considered 'mentally ill' by the American Psychiatric Association.

The mental health organization's decision to replace the term 'gender identity disorder' with 'gender dysphoria' means transgender is no longer categorized as a mental illness and comes after years of campaigning by activists.

Australia’s largest LGBT community health organization has developed a new education program that aims to reduce the impact of mental distress in the LGBT community by helping people improve their understanding of mental health.

Beginning later this month, ACON’s Peace of Mind program is a series of free workshops being delivered in Sydney and throughout the state of New South Wales (NSW) which will help LGBT people identify when their family and friends are experiencing mental distress and how they can offer support.

The program has been developed by ACON (formerly the AIDS Council of NSW), in partnership with Australia’s Mental Health Coordinating Council (MHCC) and in collaboration with the Australian National LGBTI Health Alliance and Gay and Lesbian Health Victoria.
