A woman 'emotionally blackmailed' her two partners into stealing from their work to fuel her gambling addiction

A woman who manipulated her two lovers into committing a million dollar fraud pleaded guilty yesterday (19 November).

Brisbane District Court Judge Hugh Botting sentenced Luisa Touli for ‘emotionally blackmailing’ two women into stealing AU$1.4 million (£914k, €1.13m) forcing the closure of six jewelry stores and 60 members of staff to lose their jobs, the Australian reports

Ex cleaner of gay UK illusionist has been jailed for 16 months after she was found guilty of stealing over £33,000

Derren Brown's ex cleaner has been jailed for 16 months after she was found guilty of filling in over £33,000 worth of blank checks from the gay illusionist's home.

Rocio Pavon-Navarrete, 47, a former teacher, previously admitted stealing two signed checks from the entertainer's home whilst he was on his 2010 Enigma tour, the Daily Mail reports.

Pavon-Navarrete, of Greenwich, south-east London, pleaded guilty at Southwark Crown Court last month to one charge of theft.

David Richardson makes history by becoming US state's first openly gay elected representative

Democrat David Richardson has made history by becoming Florida's first openly gay state representative.

The forensic accountant from Miami Beach beat three opponents in the US state primary which was open to voters from all parties, reported the Bradenton Herald.

Florida Together, a statewide gay rights coalition, congratulated Richardson on winning yesterday's (14 August) election.
