Adam Lambert, one of the most successful American Idol alums in the show's history, said this week he'd love to return to the singing competition as a judge.

'Dude if they called me, “I’d be like yeah. Where do I sign?”' Lambert tells Hollywood Life. 'It would be very cool. It would be exciting.'

Grammy-nominated singer Adam Lambert was the star attraction at the GLAAD Media Awards in San Francisco over the weekend where Spice Girls member Mel B presented him with the Davidson/Valentini Award.

'We are right in the middle of two generations with two different perspectives but one common thread – love,' Lambert told the crowd at the Hilton Hotel in Union Square.

'With all the differences of opinion both within the LGBT community and elsewhere, the best we can do is to keep it real and to spread a message of acceptance.'

Singer to receive award for making 'significant difference' in promoting equality for LGBT community

Adam Lambert may not yet have a Grammy, but he's going to soon have a GLAAD Award.

GLAAD, an LGBT media advocacy organization, announced today that Lambert will receive its Davidson/Valentini Award at the San Francisco ceremony on 11 May.

The award is named after Craig Davidson, GLAAD's first executive director, and his partner Michael Valentini.  It is presented to an openly LGBT media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality for the LGBT community.

US recording star Adam Lambert, who has been in a relationship with Finnish television personality Sauli Eerik Koskinen since 2010, is trying to end speculation that the couple is busy planning their wedding.

'I haven't actually thought about marriage at this point,' Lambert said Thursday (31 January) at the We Are Family Foundation gala in New York City.

'I want everyone to have the right to get married, of course, and I believe in that and support that fully,' he added. 'But for me, personally, it's not on the immediate horizon.'

GLAAD, the US gay, bi and trans anti-defamation organization, has shortlisted gay rapper Frank Ocean and hit film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel for their 24th annual awards.

The 24th GLAAD Media Awards ‘recognize and honor’ media who have shown the LGBT community in a positive way.

Among the nominees are movies The Perks of Being a Wallflower, a coming-of-age story which explores sexuality; The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, featuring Tom Wilkinson as a retired, gay high court judge; and science fiction drama Cloud Atlas, starring Ben Whishaw and James D'Arcy.

Adam Lambert has defended his controversial review of the cast of the new film Les Misérables.

The ‘For Your Entertainment’ singer drew a mixed reaction for a review of the musical, where he accused such as Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman of ‘pretending to be singers’.

In the film, director Tom Hooper asked his all-star cast to sing live on set in order to capture the emotion on screen.

On 30 December, Lambert said: ‘With that cast, they should have studio recorded and sweetened the vocals.

Gay pop singer Adam Lambert slammed the movie adaptation of musical Les Miserables, saying the singing was so awful it 'distracted' him from the story.

The American Idol star posted his review of the new film on Twitter, attacking the movie for casting 'great actors' who couldn't really sing.

'Les Mis: Visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers,' Lambert told his 1.8 million followers.
