United Nations has appealed to Brunei to delay the penal code that will introduce death by stoning for several crimes including homosexuality

Brunei will now stone you if you have gay sex from next week.

The predominantly Muslim nation of south-east Asia has adopted a new penal code calling for death by stoning for several crimes.

This includes homosexuality, adultery, rape, and declaring oneself to be non-Muslim.

Gay sex was originally only punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

The United Nations human rights office has appealed to Brunei to hold off enforcement of the new penal code, scheduled to take effect 22 April.

Lawmaker Edcel Lagman Jr wants people to be punished for cheating on their spouses with a person of the same-sex but says he is pro-LGBT rights and just wants everyone treated equally

Philippines House of Representatives member Edcel Lagman Jr has filed a bill that would see married people who cheat on their partners with a person of the same sex punished but says he is not motivated by anti-gay prejudice.

Currently heterosexual adultery is punished in the Philippines and Lagman Jr said he just wanted to see homosexual adultery treated in the same way.

From George Clooney love affairs to a new Section 28, the House of Lords returned last night to debate same-sex marriage in England and Wales.

The Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill has just completed the first day of the Report Stage, with several votes made on amendments made to wreck the bill.

Among the many voted down was an amendment to allow registrars to refuse to do their job and not marry same-sex couples. It was voted down by a majority of 175.

Baroness Butler-Sloss fails to get an amendment through defining marriage consummation as 'penetration of vagina, anus or mouth' in England and Wales equal marriage debate

Married gay people will not need to have sex to officiate their relationship, the UK’s House of Lords has said.

An amendment suggesting the definition of consummation and adultery failed to be agreed upon during the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) debate in the early hours of this morning (20 June).

While gay sex past midnight in the UK government’s upper house may sound like a tabloid newspaper headline, it was a somewhat serious debate at what counts as consummation in a gay relationship.

'Gangster' accused of gay sex executed in public in Fars Province, Iran

A young man known by the initials CH M was hanged publicly in Marwdasht, Fars Province, Iran, for allegedly engaging in 'sodomy' with another man.

Speaking with the Iranian Fars News Agency, Gholamhossein Chamansara, the Attorney General of Marwdasht, reported that the death penalty was given to the man - whose exact age is not known - due to his 'despicable act' that contradicted Sharia Muslim laws.
