The resort is teaming up with Out & Equal Workplace Advocates for a day of thought leadership and guidance on diversity and inclusion

The world-famous Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is to host a one-day LGBT Equality Institute workshop. The initiative comes about in partnership with Out & Equal Workplace Advocates.

San Francisco-based Out & Equal describes itself as ‘the world’s premiere nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace equality.’

It offers a range of resources to help LGBT employees and runs events to held advance diversity and inclusion practices within the world of business.

The ‘Free to Believe’ site says some Christian business owners have had to deal with the ‘nightmare’ of gay people who wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer

The conservative lobby group, Family Research Council, has launched a new website to share the stories of businesses and individuals who do not wish to provide certain services to LGBT people.

Arguing that the owners of the businesses concerned are merely expressing the right to religious expression, the website is called ‘Free to Believe’. 

Family Research Council states its aim as being ‘to advance faith, family and freedom in public policy and the culture from a Christian worldview.’

Keep your children home from school on LGBTI Day of Silence, urge 'pro-family’ groups

'Pro-family' students across America are preparing for a day at home on 17 April as they and their parents protest against the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network’s Day of Silence.

The Day of Silence is a national youth movement designed to bring attention to the silence inflicted on LGBTI people and their allies as a result bullying, name-calling, and harassment.

The American Family Association’s Bryan Fischer has likened the owners of an Indiana pizzeria to Nazi Holocaust victim Anne Frank because they temporarily closed their restaurant and went into hiding after a public backlash

Bryan Fischer, one of the most extreme homophobic public figures in the United States, has made the bizarre comparison between the owners of an Indiana pizzeria that announced they intended to use their state’s controversial ‘religious freedom’ law to refuse to cater gay weddings to one of the most well known victims of the Nazi Holocaust.

The former Director of Issues Analysis for the American Family Association (AFA) made the comments on his FocalPoint show on the AFA Channel online on Monday.

The Denver employee, with the backing of his pastor, has written a blistering open letter blasting the company for supporting an LGBT History Month initiative

An employee at Home Depot’s North Lakewood store in Denver was so disgusted and angered by a notice on a staff noticeboard advertising an LGBT History Month in June that he has written an open letter to his employer challenging it on its stance towards diversity and inclusion.

In the letter, Timothy Noffsinger says that LGBT people ‘practice and promote’ sexual behaviors that are ‘morally evil and self-destructive sexual deviations.’

The American Family Association (AFA) has published an 'anti-Christian bigotry map' that pinpoints the exact locations for all the offices of two LGBTI rights groups.

The map divides 'bigots' into four categories: anti-Christians, atheists, humanists and those with a 'homosexual agenda.'

Some are not happy that the family friendly brand is supporting Pride

Kellogg's is being criticized by anti-gay groups for using family friendly mascot Tony the Tiger in a pro-gay advert. 

The company sponsored Atlanta Pride, and put out an ad speaking out for respect of the LGBTI community and its employees. 

'At Kellogg, we're an evolving culture that respects and accepts employees' sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression so that all employees can be authentic and fully engaged,' the advert read.

US retail giant Target has not always stuck out its neck in support for LGBTI rights.

In 2010, it emerged that it had previously made financial donations to Republican politicians fiercely opposed to advancing gay rights, prompting a short-lived boycott by some customers.

When campaigning group One Million Moms makes a complaint about a company it’s usually because that company – in the eyes of many LGBTI people – is doing something right.

The latest organisation to draws its ire is travel brand Hotwire. Its crime? It’s produced an advertising video featuring a real-life couple of gay dads.

Obama said the US will ‘continue to stand for the basic principle that people have a right to live as they choose’.

Fischer made the comments in complaining about a Colorado Civil Rights Commission ruling against a Christian baker who had refused to bake a cake in 2012 for a same-sex couple who married in Massachusetts and wanted a cake for a celebration of that marriage when they returned to their home state.

New ad for its Teddy Grahams snack line features two gay dads

Honey Maid has taken the extraordinary step of turning the anti-gay backlash against a recent commercial featuring two dads into a statement of love.

The company has released a YouTube video showing such hateful tweets as 'Disgusting!" and explains that it hired two artists to take the negative comments and turn them into something else.

The women printed the comments out onto pieces of paper that they rolled up into small tubes and arranged them together so that they spell the word 'Love.'

In Nabisco's new ad for its Honey Maid / Teddy Grahams snack line, a variety of families with including one with two dads are being featured with the tagline: 'This Is Wholesome'.

The 30-sec commercial opens with a gay male couple bottle-feeding their child before viewers are shown a tattooed dad laughing with his daughter, and an interracial couple and their three kids holding hands.

The voiceover says: 'No matter how things change, what makes us wholesome never will. Honey Maid – everyday wholesome snacks for every wholesome family. This is wholesome.'
