Out actor says: ‘I gotta represent with some gay sex on the show. I’m willing!'

Andrew Rannells knows what he wants for his character of Elijah in the fourth season of HBO's Girls.

He wants sex.

The openly gay actor was able to return to the series for part of season three after NBC canceled his sitcom The New Normal in which he played one-half of a gay couple expecting a baby via surrogate.

His Girls character is far less domestic.

When asked this week what viewers can expect in the next season Rannells teased that 'I might be not dressed in it.'

With a cast that could rival a Tony Awards telecast in terms of star wattage, some of Broadway's biggest stars use their talent in a new video to make a statement against Russia's anti-gay propaganda law.

In the video, the Russian government cites the propaganda law in outlawing theatrical performances on 'The Great Red Way.'

The Russian Broadway community responds in the only way they know how - they put on a show called Love and Punishment.

'I personally have never had sex with a woman'

He's played a gay man on stage in The Book of Mormon and plays a gay man on TV in The New Normal.

But on HBO's Girls, Andrew Rannells is playing a character who is wondering if he might be bisexual instead of gay.

Off screen, Rannells does no such wondering.

'I personally have never had sex with a woman,' he tells New York magazine’s Vulture blog. 'I’m more of what you call gold-star gay. I’m purebred.'
