'The next time you feel like saying "my gays" replace it with "my blacks" and see how that turns out!'

Andy Cohen had to share with the viewers of Bravo's What Happens Live Tuesday (3 February) 'something that's been bugging the hell out of me.'

It seems several of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, whose show Cohen produces, have a habit of referring to their gay male friends as 'my gays.'

Cohen decided to show footage of Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna and others committing the offense and decided to make it a 'teachable moment.'

But a pre-date phone call ended any romantic notions

Imagine what a power couple Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen could have been.

The dashing, silver-haired CNN anchor and 60 Minutes correspondent and the ever-smiling host of Bravo's Watch What Happens Live (WWHL) and producer of the popular Housewives reality show franchise.

It turns out they were originally supposed to be a romantic pair and were once set up on a date by a mutual friend.

'When we were set up … we had a phone call to talk before we actually went out on a date,' Cooper said recently while guesting on WWHL.

Bravo TV host knows he doesn't have to experiment because 'I like dudes so much more'

On his nightly Bravo show Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen is used to being the one asking all the nosy questions.

But now that he's busy promoting his new book The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year, Cohen finds himself being asked about some deeply personal things.

Including if he's ever had sex with a woman.

'Never. Never full, full-monty. I'm a gold-star gay,' Cohen said this week during an interview with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules star Lisa Vanderpump.

'I still get enraged when I think about him talking about being in love with that woman on 60 Minutes'

A US talk show host has called for actor Kevin Spacey to come out as gay in his new memoir, The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year.

In an entry dated 9 September 2013, Cohen recalled running into the two-time Oscar winner at the US Open finals.

'Kevin Spacey was in front of us with a face full of makeup and three male companions who were definitely NOT raising any questions,' he wrote.

In another entry, Cohen recounted a conversation he had with gay actor Neil Patrick Harris on the set of his talk show Watch What Happens Live:

Andy Cohen, host of Bravo's nightly talk show Watch What Happens Live, found out the hard way what it's like to really tick off Barbara Walters.

Cohen recalled Monday (17 November) to time he guest hosted on The View nearly two years ago and suggested to the 80-plus Walters that maybe the reason she didn't understand the film American Hustle was due to her age.

The insult happened on live television and Walters' displeasure was instant.

Singer asked about his romantic status on live TV but dodges question saying: 'I am where I need to be right now'

Seemingly on behalf of all the single gay men on planet Earth, TV host Andy Cohen asked Ricky Martin a very important question this week: 'Are you single?'

Simple question, right?

Martin, who split from Carlos González Abella earlier this year, did not have a simple answer.

'I'm in a really good place right now - I am where I need to be right now,' he told Cohen on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live.

Then he stated the obvious: 'I did not say yes or no.'

But Roberts sees an opportunity to also do reporting for MSNBC as well as for NBC which is broadcasting the 9 November pageant in the US.

Aggressively went after gig because 'it is a huge, visible opportunity for LGBT people'

MSNBC’s openly gay anchor Thomas Roberts is going to host the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow next month.

It’s a gig that Bravo’s Andy Cohen had in recent years but declined this time because of Russia’s anti-gay propaganda law. Cohen, who is openly gay, said he did not feel safe going into the country.

Roberts feels differently and 'aggressively' went after a job he sees as 'a huge, visible opportunity for LGBT people. Everywhere.'

'Sean Avery is straight ... I'd be happy if Sean and I were bangin'

It turns out the Twitter and Instagram photos of TV host Andy Cohen and NHL star Sean Avery were not hints of an impending engagement announcement.

They were just two pals hanging out.

Cohen, host of Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, was confronted about the growing speculation by TMZ cameras in New York City and decided the clear things up.

'Dude, Sean Avery is straight. Do you understand that?' Cohen said. 'So a gay guy and a straight guy should be able to be friends without you asking me if we're engaged, right? Very, very straight.'
