Gay Star News speaks to the writers and creators of beloved new marriage equality comedy Husbands

Gay web series Husbands has officially premiered the long awaited season two.

The series, headed up by Buffy the Vampire Slayer writer Jane Espenson and actor Brad Bell, describes itself as the world’s first marriage equality comedy.

Set in a fictional America where every state has legalized gay marriage, two celebrities accidentally do a ‘Britney’ and get drunkenly hitched in Las Vegas.

One is an out-and-proud actor, and the other is a baseball player who has just come out as gay, and they have only been dating six weeks.

'I think people get too caught up in it. I don't stress about it'

Guillermo Diaz is one of the busiest openly gay actor in Hollywood but he goes about his work without any of the attention that accompanies every career move of Neil Patrick Harris or Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

But that seems to suit this 37-year-old just fine as he takes on roles both gay and straight in television and film. He currently plays the role of Huck, an ex-CIA agent turned computer hacker, on the ABC series Scandal which will return for a second season this fall.

Michael Fassbender, one of the busiest actors in the movie business these days, should have known he'd be asked about his penis when he was profiled for the new issue of of GQ magazine.

It was on full display in the film in which Fassbender plays a heterosexual sex addict who at one point even has sex with a man he meets at a gay bathhouse.

Christopher Plummer's role as gay man nominated for Oscar but shame for Michael Fassbender.

Christopher Plummer has received another award nomination for his role as an elderly gay man in Beginners, but this time it's for Hollywood's most coveted statuette, the Oscar.

The Canadian actor is up for a gong in the best supporting actor category and is up against Kenneth Branagh, Jonah Hill, Nick Nolte and Max von Sydow.
