Long time Hollywood allies of the LGBTI community Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reneged on a 2006 pledge to not get married until same-sex marriage is legalized across America but we suspect most people will forgive them after years of advocacy by the couple for gay rights.

The couple were reported to have married in France on Saturday in a small private ceremony in a chateau near Nice.

The couple were married by a Californian judge who also provided their marriage license.

Melissa Etheridge is taking issue with Angelina Jolie's recent decision to have a preemptive double mastectomy because she has the BRCA1 gene that increases her risk of getting breast cancer.

Etheridge, a breast cancer survivor, tells The Washington Blade: 'I have that gene mutation too and it’s not something I would believe in for myself. I wouldn’t call it the brave choice. I actually think it’s the most fearful choice you can make when confronting anything with cancer.'

The Twitter account to the entertainment news site E! Online seems to be shut down due to an erroneous Tweet  calling pop star Justin Bieber gay.

Today (April 4) E!'s social media site has been suspended (this reporter has tried multiple times). According to various Tweets, and a number of news reports, the account was closed due to note saying the teen heart throb is gay.
