US actor Adam Baldwin has taken to twitter to oppose same-sex couples’ right to marry – asking why sons and fathers shouldn’t now marry to avoid higher taxes

Adam Baldwin, most famous for his roles in Stanley Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket and Joss Whedon science fiction series Firefly, has turned to Twitter to attack same-sex marriage – suggesting that fathers and sons will use it to get out of paying higher taxes.

‘What's wrong, now, with a father marrying his son for love & to avoid tax penalties?’ Baldwin tweeted 21 February.

Baldwin had just prior tweeted a link to an article in which a Republican vying to replace Senate Republican Party leader Mitch McConnell in GOP primary runoffs had made similar arguments.

The two disgusted parents from Baldwin, New York, astounded by the woman’s bigotry, sent in the invite to their local Long Island radio station.

On their official Facebook page, K-98.3 said: ‘Steve and Leeana got this from a set of dads in Baldwin who were really upset over how one mom, Beth, chose to respond to their daughter’s birthday party invite.

Earlier today (26 November), Baldwin and MSNBC said in a joint statement that they had mutually agreed to stop making Up Late With Alec Baldwin. The show was already struggling in the ratings before Baldwin was caught by TMZ cameras calling a photographer a 'cocksucking fag.'

Baldwin continues to deny he used the word 'fag' and claims he did not know 'cocksucker' was an anti-gay slur.

Alec Baldwin is out of a job.

The low-rated Up Late With Alec Baldwin has been canceled in the aftermath of an incident in which an angry Baldwin was caught on video calling a photographer a 'cocksucking fag' because he got too close to his wife and baby.

'We are jointly confirming that Up Late will not continue on MSNBC,” Baldwin and the network said in a statement.

MSNBC added: 'This is a mutual parting and we wish Alec all the best.'

The weekly talk show that had aired just twice and initially was yanked from the air for two weeks.

'If Alec Baldwin had yelled the N word to that photographer or yelled an anti-Jewish slur against that photographer, it would be over,' Cooper said Monday (18 November) on his CNN show.

Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin made history Tuesday (6 November) by becoming the first openly gay person to be elected to the US Senate.

Baldwin, who has represented Wisconsin in the US House of Representatives for seven terms, defeated Republican Tommy Thompson who is opposed to gay marriage. She replaces retiring Democrat Herb Kohl in the Senate.
