An Oklahoma tornado that has claimed the lives of up to 91 people is being blamed on Jason Collins.

Fred Phelps Jr, the son of the leader behind the infamous Westboro Baptist Church, has linked homosexuality to the destructive natural disaster.

He said Oklahoma sportsman Kevin Durant offended God by saying ‘no one has the right to judge’ the first openly gay basketball player.

Faith Community Baptist Church pastor Lawrence Khong says that the devil is behind LGBT people asking for rights

A Singaporean pastor has delivered a sermon titled God's Pattern for Marriage in front of 3,000 people in which he called the LGBT movement 'diabolical'.

'I believe that God has awakened to face one of the greatest attacks on the family by the evil one,' said Lawrence Khong.

Khong also called the LGBT rights movement the 'onslaught of the evil one'.

A mother whose son’s funeral was picketed by the Westboro Baptist Church had the chance to tell a former member how she felt about the congregation.

Earlier this week, Libby Phelps-Alvarez appeared on Anderson Live to discuss growing up in the gay hate church and why she decided to leave.

The granddaughter of founder Fred Phelps, she said she thought she had been doing the right thing in spreading homophobia and picketing funerals by the age of eight.

As counter-protest, guy strips down, drapes self in US flag, and drops into centerfold pose

This was surely not the photo op members of the Westboro Baptist Church had in mind.

The notoriously anti-gay group, famous for their 'God Hates Fags' signs, showed up in Oklahoma City this week to protest at Game 5 of the NBA Quarterfinals where the city's team The Thunder faced the Houston Rockets.

Their protest stemmed from the coming out on Monday (29 April) of NBA player Jason Collins who most recently played for the Washington Wizards.

Controversial church says bombs were sent by God to punish Massachusetts for passing same-sex marriage law

Westboro Baptist Church has weighed-in on a national tragedy again to say that the explosion that killed three people and injured hundreds at the finishing line of the Boston Marathon yesterday was sent by God to punish the state of Massachusetts for passing same-sex marriage law.

'God sent the Boston Marathon Bombs for the sin of Massachusetts passing same-sex marriage! #SHAME #USAsDoom' said a tweet from the church.

Baptist Pastor Calvin Butts has said that his faith based opposition to the concept of same-sex marriage should have no baring on whether gay couples should legally be allowed to wed

The pastor of a Harlem, New York, Baptist church has told a television panel that his faith based opposition to the concept of same-sex marriage should have no baring on who anybody else chooses to get married to and that he hopes the US Supreme Court rules in favor of that right.

Pastor Calvin Butts of Abyssinian Baptist Church made the comments while appearing on ABC TV’s This Week show, hosted by George Stephanopolous.

Lauren Drain, who spent seven years as a baptized member of the gay hate group protesting at soldiers’ funerals, was kicked out just before she was 22.

The Westboro Baptist Church is planning a protest of an upcoming motor racing event in response to pro-gay comments made by a famous driver.

Brad Kaselowski, who drives and owns a team in the stock car racing events, was asked last week by Queers4Gears how he would feel about a gay person in his team.

Anti-gay hate group is confronted with student counter-protest

When members of the Westboro Baptist Church showed up at Santa Monica High School today to conduct an anti-gay protest, they were in for a huge surprise.

That surprise was a huge crowd that was on hand to counter-protest the group known to protest at military funerals carrying signs that say such things as 'God Hates Fags.'

The church had protested outside the Oscars on Sunday (24 February) and chose the high school in Santa Monica as its next target because of what it believes is the school's affirmation of LGBT students.
