Lindsay Lohan, who once starred in such box office hits as Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, has spent more time in a courtroom than on a movie set in recent years.

But it was announced on Monday (23 April) that bisexual actress Lohan has been signed to portray one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood history: Elizabeth Taylor.

Lohan will star as Taylor on Liz & Dick for Lifetime television in a film that will begin production in Los Angeles in June.
