Elton John has checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he is being treated for a serious respiratory infection that he developed over the weekend while performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

The 65-year-old singer has been forced to cancel four upcoming performances of his The Million Dollar Piano show scheduled for tonight (24 May), Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
