R&B artist Chris Brown will not face jail time after pleading guilty to an assault where he punched a fan and allegedly called him a 'faggot'.

A Washington DC superior court has ruled Brown, as well as his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy, will not serve any time behind bars for the assault in October 2013.

On 16 December, judge Patricia Wynn sentenced Hollosy to 90 days in jail - suspending the sentence unless he violated his one-year probation.

On 27 October, the pop star was taking a picture with two women in front of the W Hotel in Washington, DC. Two men wanted to join the photograph.

The victim sustained a fractured nasal bone.

The ‘Yeah x3’ singer has said he wants to be an inspiration to people by letting go of ‘grudges or bs’.

Writing on Twitter, he (or perhaps his assistant) said: ‘The new single is apart of my “UNITY CAMPAIGN” which encourages all races, genders, sexes, (everyone) gay or straight to love each other!’

‘As a young inspiration to all types of people around the world, I have a moral obligation to let go of grudges or bs,’ he added.

Grammy-winner plans to write 'in remote locations for the next two years'

Grammy-winner Frank Ocean said in an interview published in the New York Times last week that he plans to write 'in remote locations for the next two years', starting with Shanghai.

As well as music, Ocean said that he has started writing a book. 'It's fiction, and it's about brothers,' he said in the interview.

Ocean's comments indicate that he plans to avoid the limelight after a high profile eight months. Today he tweeted: 'step awayyy from the media'.

Openly out star Frank Ocean beat his fellow R&B rivals to win the Urban Contemporary Album at the Grammys.

Last night (11 February), the ‘Channel Orange’ hit-maker won the award as the entire room giving him a standing ovation.

There was one notable exception though, and that was Chris Brown.

In his acceptance speech, Ocean said: ‘So I hear the way you disarm an audience is by imagining them naked, but I don’t want to do that. I want to look at you all as kids in tuxedos and being fancy, and stuff like that.

Openly gay *NSYNC star Lance Bass has attacked Chris Brown after it was alleged he called Frank Ocean ‘faggot’ during their brawl last month.
