Israeli city to host two-week queer party, launching next month

Tel Aviv has announced a two-week 'Pink Winter' Festival for the festive period, taking place between 24 December and 7 January.

The event will encompass non-stop street parties and beach parties (including a chill-out party at Hilton Beach), as well as a queer film festival.

Christmas tree and Hanukkah candle lightings will also take place on Christmas Eve, to mark the official launch of the festival.

Glee creator announced he is now father to a second child at the American Horror Story season four premiere

Glee creator Ryan Murphy is a father for the second time and has said there is already sibling drama in the house.

The gay showrunner revealed he has had a baby boy with husband David Miller via surrogate at the American Horror Story season four premiere.

The couple welcomed their first child Logan into their family on Christmas Eve 2012.

Murphy told E! News: 'His name is Ford. I brought him home today from the hospital and Logan gave him kind of a side eye.

'For 21 months, Logan has been the light of my life and now there are two.'

For the first time, a UK musical theatre station will be playing a whole show every evening to pay tribute to the holiday spirit

As we’re getting ready to deck the halls and jingle some bells, it’s easy to forget that the holidays are supposed to be a happy time.

So what could be better to cheer you up than listening to the best of musical theater?

JemmThree, the UK’s first 24/7 internet radio station dedicated the songs of the stage, will be raising the curtain on nine musicals – the majority having a festive theme.

The radio station has many of the same team members as the much-loved Gaydar Radio that was closed early this year.

The Archbishop of Westminster and leader of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales has attacked the UK government’s plans for gay marriage as a ‘shambles’.

Vincent Nichols used his Christmas Eve sermon to launch the attack, saying the government had ‘no mandate’ for introducing marriage equality in England and Wales, reports the BBC.

At AIDS Walk Los Angeles earlier this month, one of the most prominent celebrities was actress Pauley Perrette who, for the second year running, raised more than $10,000 for the cause.

As one of the stars of NCIS, the most popular show on broadcast television in the US, Perrette has used her celebrity to bring awareness to the ongoing battle against HIV and AIDS for which there remains no cure.

The 43-year-old actress says her commitment to battling the disease began more than two decades ago when she was an unknown actress living in New York City.

The 8 playwright recently lost his sibling to cancer

As Dustin Lance Black celebrates the success of last weekend's benefit performance of his play 8 in Los Angeles, the Oscar-winning writer and LGBT activist is thinking of his older brother, Marcus, who died in January from cancer.

Black made an arduous road trip from Michigan to Virginia with his brother in December so they could spend Christmas with their mother. They arrived at her house on Christmas Eve morning after traveling through Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
