Favorites London Falcons lose the Gay Football Supporters Network national cup in a riveting rollercoaster ride of a match

Mersey Marauders beat the favorites London Falcons in a sudden death penalty shootout to win a national gay soccer cup on Sunday (5 May).

The Gay Football Supporters Network (GFSN) held its seventh national cup at Hyde FC, sponsored by Manchester City.

London Falcons appeared confident after securing 2-0 in the first 20 minutes. Striker Spencer Withrington scored the first goal, which was closely followed by another from Kevin Latham.
