The company just made its flavors more irresistible. According to the Human Rights Campaign, on 12 September, the ice cream maker announced it joined 30 other companies in an employers amicus brief to the Supreme Court.

A Colorado court has ruled anti-gay baker Jack Philips cannot refuse to make wedding cakes for gay couples, ‘I will stand by my convictions until somebody shuts me down’ he says

A US bakery owner must serve wedding cakes to same-sex couples, a court has ruled.

In 2012, Jack Philips, the owner of Masterpiece Cake shop in Lakewood, Colorado, refused to sell a wedding cake to a gay couple David Mullins and Charlie Craig.

This week (30 May), Colorado’s Civil Rights Commission ruled the move was discriminatory and he must serve wedding cakes to all customers in his shop regardless of their sexual orientation.

The US religious right is boycotting Girl Scout cookie sales, costing the organization millions of dollars

The one place you’d hope the abortion battle would not be waged is with the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA).

Girl Scout cookies are a ubiquitous symbol of the organization and an American staple like apple pie. They have made nearly $700million (€500million) in sales since 1999.

So the idea they have helped fund abortions at Planned Parenthood is unfathomable.

But with religious right activists fishing for another fallacious assertion to try on the American public, this one unfortunately has legs.

The company defends its ad saying that 'the reality of family has changed, but the wholesome connections that all families share will endure'

In Nabisco's new ad for its Honey Maid / Teddy Grahams snack line, a variety of families with including one with two dads are being featured with the tagline: 'This Is Wholesome'.

The 30-sec commercial opens with a gay male couple bottle-feeding their child before viewers are shown a tattooed dad laughing with his daughter, and an interracial couple and their three kids holding hands.

The voiceover says: 'No matter how things change, what makes us wholesome never will. Honey Maid – everyday wholesome snacks for every wholesome family. This is wholesome.'

Meanwhile he’s made his name by baking for the stars. Madonna ordered his pile of profiteroles – a croquembouche – for her wedding to Guy Ritchie and he has made wedding cakes for Elizabeth Hurley and Claudia Schiffer.

Kraft, the maker of the the iconic Oreo cookie, is in trouble with the organization One Million Moms. The anti-gay organization is incensed with a rainbow colored cookie to honor Gay Pride Month.

The USA’s favourite cookie has pledged its support for the World Pride festival with a quirky image of a rainbow themed Oreo on its Facebook page

Sesame Street's bright blue Cookie Monster would surely approve of such a colorful gay pride tribute as this rainbow-colored cookie from Oreo.

To celebrate pride month, America's favorite biscuit brand posted the picture to their Facebook page yesterday (26 June). And it has already gained over 200,000 ‘likes’ and nearly 250 comments from Oreo lovers across the globe.
