After two years avoiding sentencing, Andile Ngcoza will spend the next 22 years in jail for raping, beating and strangling a lesbian for five hours 

Justice was served for a South African lesbian who was raped in 2010 because of her sexuality.

45-year old Andile Ngcoza was originally convicted of raping Millicent Gaika, a lesbian woman from Gugulethu, in 2011, but missed his court date for sentencing and disappeared for two years.

On 3 April 2010, Ngcoza initiated a corrective rape attack on Gaika, saying he would impregnate her to ‘show her she was a woman’.

A 19 year-old lesbian soccer player was brutally murdered by gangsters, becoming the latest victim of anti-gay violence sweeping South African 

According to Ndumie Funda, director of Luleki Sizwe, an organization that assists young lesbian victims of so called ‘corrective rape’ a young South African lesbian was murdered by a group of gangsters.

Sihle Skotshi, was a soccer player who was only 19 years-old when she was murdered.

Skotshi was one of the girls in the group assited by the Luleki Sizwe organization.

The attack occurred on the 9 November at Cosovo an informal settlement in Phillipi, a township of Cape Town.

A lesbian has been found murdered in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa, according to reports by local lesbian activists.

A report that has only recently come to light suggests that Mandisa Mbambo, a 28-year-old lesbian, was found murdered under her bed.

Speaking with Identity Kenya, Funeke Soldaat a lesbian activist and founder of the Free Gender campaign organization, alleged Mbambo was murdered.

The killers of a lesbian in Cape Town, South Africa, have each been jailed for 18 years

A group of men have been jailed for stabbing and stoning a lesbian to death in South Africa.

In what activists are calling a landmark case, four men were yesterday sentenced to 18 years in prison for killing 19-year-old Zoliswa Nkonyana in 2006 because she was living openly as a lesbian.
